VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - The Valdosta State Blazers will hold their second scrimmage of spring football practice on Saturday and all the pieces seem to be falling together.
VSU’s offense is clicking and getting into a groove with the six new coaches that joined Tremaine Jackson’s staff in the offseason. It’s a combination that has Jackson believing Titletown could have another special team on its hands.
“I really like this team and how they compete for every drill, every day for every rep,” said Jackson of his team’s mindset. “Normally if you can get guys to compete for everything, you’ve got a pretty good football team. I like everybody, even our specialists have been coming along just fine.”
“I think we’ve got a really good group, hopefully we finish strong.”
