 We
are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable individual to fill the role
of blogger for the the South Atlantic Conference and the Great American
Conference.
In addition, we are also looking for individuals to help our editorial
staff so that we can expand content and the scope of D2Football.com.
D2Football.com Blogger
Minimum Responsibilities Include:
- Provide weekly updates until your conference is eliminated from the
playoffs.
- Wrap up the season and give predictions for the next season.
Other Tasks You Could Help Perform:
- Provide daily updates and opinions via your blog.
- Provide analysis via D2Football Podcast interviews.
- Help select the D2Football.com All-America Team.
- Perform various other tasks beneficial to our efforts.
We will discuss the specifics of the blog
in an interview via telephone.
Although writing and or media experience
is helpful, it is not required. Your knowledge and passion for D2
Football is more important. We cannot teach you the history and inner
workings of Division II and we cannot teach you to have a passion for this
level of play.
Our bloggers must be self-motivated and
be able to work without much supervision.

We would love to have
multiple volunteers to help us perform one or more of the following tasks.
While we welcome someone who would love to engross himself or
herself in the site and have it become part of their life as it has ours,
we also welcome someone who only has the desire to update certain items.
These positions
perform these types of tasks:
- Communicate
with sports information directors.

Compile schedules.

Input schedules.
-
Update scores.
-
Stay abreast of schedule changes.

Update pictures and information regarding facilities.

Update links to team websites and online broadcasts.

Receive news alerts and input them into the database.

Search team websites and newspaper websites for stories.

Help keep front page updated and relevant.

Participate in podcasts.
The ideal candidates to join our team will care more about the message and
the coverage that we try to provide than personal gain or promotion.
Video Editor (2)
We were very
disappointed with the limited video we had on the site during the 2010
season and we want to improve in 2011. For that to happen, we will
probably need multiple volunteers to head up our video efforts.
These positions
perform these types of tasks:
- Edit raw video into
highlight packages.
- Construct highlight priority list.
- Research sources of video and coordinate with those sources.
- Suggest ways we can expand with in-house productions.
We are very open to
any ideas that you may have. We simply want to give Division II
Football a bigger video presence on the web.

have volunteered because they believe in Division 2 and the mission of

certain tasks, we would consider allowing individuals still in
college. If possible, we could work with your professors to make it
