Woodard (England) replacement from Ireland except he isn't scared to take 3 PT shots if the situation arises.

              You certainly could!

We'll see how the rest of the "recruiting season" goes, but beyond the players from his previous team, Mike hasn't dipped into the transfer market. Been told that there are plenty of WLU Style players in the portal. If they are just sitting there unsigned, I wonder why Mike hasn't signed them??

Seems to be a mystery without an explanation. Well, there is one explanation but I've been told that couldn't possibly be the reason!!

              • With the Coker transfers, wlu has replenished their roster with a critical mass of players who can lead other players to understand the tremendous effort that is required to play this style.

My layperson's dream for the next steps: recruit a Shuler and Harper style player who are shutdown defenders.

In looking at the coker roster, it appears Coach Lamberti has cast a wide geographical net for players - Ireland, Maine, SC, FL, PA, etc. Hopefully fans will donate to wlu foundation, (memo line: men's hoops) to support his recruiting efforts.

                • If my math is correct, WLU has four returning players (Spadfora, Tinsley, Chester and xxx) two of whom have "in game" experience Add to that the three Coker transfers who all have game experience in the WLU Style which gives us seven total players with at least one season practicing (5 with game experience) in the system. I wouldn't call any of the five proven stars but players in the WLU Style occasionally have "breakout" years where they finally figure out everything and bang, they seem to be twice as good as they were. Probably going to need at least two of the experienced 5 to make that jump. IF one of the redshirts can hit the ground and play big time like some of the WLU greats in the past AND at least one of the newcomers (freshmen or previous transfers) deliver big numbers, we could be decent. But there is a pretty big delta between decent and really good. To be really good, we will need all of the "non-star" players to be solid if unspectacular performers. There is a path to very good...it is very narrow and won't take much to nock us off of it but at least it's there.

Alternatively, we could just bring in 8 or 9 of those WLU Style players that are currently sitting unrecruited in the portal or the equally unrecruited HS Seniors sitting on their couch at home, be done with this speculation, and just be great!

                  • So, among all the players that have graced the court at the ARSC, who in your opinion are the greatest late additions (after school let out for the summer? I have two and they interestingly are both from Australia:

                    James Griffin
                    Indiana Faithful

Neither stayed very long (one and two seasons). As I recall both were decent solid players if unspectular. I think Griffin had the biggest flashes.

Beyond that, I can't think of any but I would imagine there are others. Anyone you can think of??

Good question. Jordan Watson would be among our best "late" transfers.

The 'outsider' on the team is the kid from PSU-Dubois.

I can tell you first hand there's no way in hell that kid should be at PSU-Dubois.

How he's not at a top D2 program is really odd / amazing.

My hunch is he will be soon.

But, yeah, if those guys are in shape that's going to be a nasty team.

michael batchelor from WVW has reopened recruitment.
Great 3fg shooter, but defense needed much work.
I suspect Hurray would have taken his minutes.
