Tony has always done an excellent job!Originally posted by Topper_Hopper View Post
This depth of coverage is great... wish it was more common in Division 2. Thank you.
I hope Joe rethinks some things with this roster and playing time based on what I read in Tony's article. I won't say to much now until I actually see the rotation.

Man, that kid has been on quite the journey. He just was never able to put down any roots. I always thought he was a nice player, but inconsistent.Originally posted by Scrub View PostJust noticed that our mutual old friend Jaylen Stewart has shown up on Point Park's roster. He's apparently recovered from surgery and is back in the Atlantic Region.

Wish he had come back to WLU but apparently, bridges where burned. We could use his experience.Originally posted by EyeoftheHawk View Post

WTF? I would have really liked to see the Ashland game but I’m certainly not going to Johnstown to do it when I could have walked. It blows my mind that this type of thing can even happen but nothing surprises me anymore. Maybe they can wear UPJ uniforms too and take a school bus.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View PostFor those paying attention, the first two games have been bumped to the Field House. The KCAC was rented out.
It gets better.
The scheduled home game against Ashland will now be played at UPJ due to another scheduling conflict.
I'm sure Joe is just peachy.

Wow, that UPJ thing is unreal. That would be like Ship picking up and taking a home game to Gettysburg or Mount St. Mary's.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View PostFor those paying attention, the first two games have been bumped to the Field House. The KCAC was rented out.

All quiet so everyone must be pleased with the opening performance. I only got to watch the first half. It certainly seems as though Dallis is primed to be the guy. I haven’t looked at the minutes breakdown, but Pickens was the only guard to come off the bench so it looks like Dallis, Merraro and Moore will be carrying the load unless somebody was held out for some reason.
It was a good, convincing win over an opponent who is usually at least half way decent. Looks like a fun team that’s going to play pretty up tempo.
Edit: Ian Herring is also a guard and he played a lot. His game reminds more of a small forward so I had that in my mind. And he had 13 rebounds last nightLast edited by Chuck Norris; 11-15-2025, 08:26 AM.

Pickens came off the bench late in garbage time. I think you're forgetting that Herring is considered a guard and Sarp was out with an ankle injury not that I'm rooting for Sarp to get major meaningful minutes. Dallis, Ky, Moore and Herring are all high level guards that can carry this team if need be. Dallis will lead the way.
The forwards are the wildcard. Can they stay out of foul trouble (Triggs, Brooks, Grove)? I would like to think Bautista starts to play better as he gets more PT. Him missing all that preseason time showed.
It was game 1 and a good start but certainly there is a lot to improve on starting with the defense. To early for me to get fired up.
