Looks as if Seton Hill might finally be putting a few things together. They played Ship tough for most of the game Wednesday and actually led Mercyhurst at halftime today before losing by six. Certainly a better effort than you'd expect from a team with a 1-11 record.

He missed half the season. With him, they are legit.

No doubt. And, the big guard (Drew Green) could play/start for any team in the conference. He's a beast at 6'5" and can play all three guard spots.
I agree. Teams will see that 1-10 (or whatever it is) ... but they may bite somebody this year.
If Green hits the portal ... full ride on Philly St.

Yeah, that's certainly a rout although Clarion might have been a little rusty after coming off several postponements and not playing since Dec. 19.

A smaller-than-usual slate tonight, but enough for you gamblers out there get some action. Gambling problems call 1-800-Gambler.
IUP at Mercyhurst - Round 1 of the annual showdown ... not much needs said. Some interesting plot points. Fans aren't welcome. There's no women's game but tip-off is still in the late slot. Game-wise, Mercyhurst has been rolling with a 4-guard lineup much of the season. IUP will present some issues with its talented array of post players. The Lakers have a lot of size on the roster, but haven't been playing those guys much. IUP has been relying on 4 players for about 95 percent of its scoring. This will also be the first time all but three of IUP's players have faced the vaunted match-up zone. The coaches know each other well. It's an officials' nightmare. The Lakers are at full strength. IUP is not. That makes the difference tonight. Expect IUP to battle -- and likely be in the game late. But, until IUP's bench can be more productive, they won't be favored in such games -- especially on the road. Don't be shocked if IUP wins, but the safe bet is Lakers -5
Seton Hill at Clarion - When you see the records -- Clarion (6-5) and Seton Hill (1-12) -- it could be easy to make assumptions. But, records can be deceiving. The Griffins, for instance, have played a much more difficult schedule -- and also had to play a large portion of it without their star big man. Seton Hill is on a current three-game skid, but they played Shippensburg fairly tough on the road, and then gave Mercyhurst all it could handle. Seton Hill then dropped a close game to Gannon. So, they travel to Clarion tonight pretty battle-tested. Of Clarion's 6 wins, two have come against overmatched D3 opponents. The Golden Eagles have also lost to every good team they've played -- including being blown out of the gym on three occasions. Coming off a very long break to play at Mercyhurst ... we'll give Clarion a pass on that one. But, they didn't look good. Vegas likes the Griffins to pull out a rare road win tonight. But, it will be tight. Seton Hill -4
Kutztown at Lock Haven - It seems like a long time ago that Kutztown nearly shocked D1 Rider in an exhibition. Things have gone off the rails in a hurry for the Golden Bears. Star forward Moe Williams hasn't played since the beginning of December -- and they've only won once since. Lock Haven, on the other hand, has lost a lot of close games. The Bald Eagles have a talented rotation -- and, play very well in their building. Their downside has been a couple stretches a game of careless play. Williams would really swing things for the Golden Bears, but with his status still unknown, Lock Haven is a clear favorite tonight. Bald Eagles -7.
Millersville at East Stroudsburg - The Marauders have a nice, steady 9-4 record, but they are 0-4 against the four best PSAC teams they've played. Aside from a very strange loss at Edinboro, East Stroudsburg has rebounded from its 0-3 start. The Warriors have gone 6-1 since, including a big win at Mercyhurst. Millersville has the talent to be one of the better teams in the league, but that talent hasn't appeared under the brighter lights yet this year. East Stroudsburg should be too tough at home tonight for Millersville to overcome. A big weekend trip to Shippensburg looms for the Warriors. So long as they aren't looking ahead - and can control the big fella - they should get the win tonight. East Stroudsburg -7.
Shippensburg at Mansfield - It wouldn't be a PSAC night without at least one run-away on the board. This will be ugly. Red Raiders -23.
