Without saying what the infractions were and if any sanctions were taken against players or coaches, this still stinks. If we can say the officials have been suspended, tell us what happened to the people who did it. I don't need to know Needledick Ned from Long Island was suspended 1 game. I feel like they put out more info when Gannon gets into fights on the football field.

That is a harsh suspension for the officials. Two games is more than I suspected. To be honest, I didn't think they'd get any the way this league handles refs.

Ike's Tracksuit Army had it coming.

But, yeah, name the player. These aren't 6th graders.

I don't like that the league simply accepted Gannon's self-sanctions (whatever they may be). Seems like the league needs to be seen taking action. If they're in accord with what Gannon imposed internally, fine. But the league should still be on record issuing some kind of sanction.

        • 1. They can't name specific player discipline. It falls under federal privacy protection. When it gets out at the FBS level its from confidential sources - but they risk termination. But - like the PSAC has done for previous Gannon altercations, tell us how many players were disciplined and if those players were suspended. Did anything happen to the coach?

          2. The PSAC commissioner is a Gannon guy the same way I'm an Edinboro guy. Steve is a good dude but unfortunately when there's this much vague language, its hard to not feel suspicious.

          3. I don't like the official suspensions either. I'm not sure its reasonable to expect a ref to see it. Nobody would have seen it if not for the video broadcast. Refs were watching the hoop & inbound.

          4. Clearly, Jefferson saw it. At the game he should have admitted that his player did that and offered to have him ejected. Kid was 99% likely to ride out the bench like he has all year. Instead Jefferson turned the other way. Maybe the Gannon punishment is that KR gets formally offered the job before the season ends.

What, they punished players that were already in track suits??? F out of here! What a joke. Name the players and the penalties. That's nothing more than a cop out by Murray!!!

It's hilarious the player (who doesn't actually play) will probably serve less time than the officials.

You know, the actual guilty party as caught on video.

Gannon made him go to confession and say 5 Rosaries.

Ship last week was the Eastern Division in a nutshell. Lose a one-pointer they probably should have won to Millersville, win a two-point game they easily could have lost against Shepherd, and then take a relatively easy win over a Lock Haven team that might be more talented than either M-ville or Shepherd. Next they'll face East Stroudsburg, a team that blew them out a few weeks back at Shippensburg, but which since then has lost to West Chester and Lock Haven sides both beaten by Ship. You would not grow rich predicting the Eastern Division this year.

                    • Jermaine Hall didn't play for Cal last night (arguably their best player and only post player).

So, an already-ravaged rotation just got worse.

                        • Not a fantastic lineup on tap tomorrow, but there are a few intriguing games. The main attraction is Shippensburg's visit to East Stroudsburg.

Seton Hill at Slippery Rock - The Rock pulled a game ahead of the Griffins in the West standings. SRU has won two straight while Seton Hill has dropped its past two. The first meeting in Greensburg was tight, with the Giffins holding on to win, 84-77. Morrow Field House is a tricky venue, but Seton Hill's zone should cause just enough problems for the Grffins to escape with another narrow win. SRU has won 10 of the past 11 in the series, but it won't win tomorrow. Vegas says take the road team. Seton Hill -5.5

West Chester at Mansfield - A brutal stretch continues for the Mounties. Mansfield has been blown out in its past three outings. West Chester has won 6 of its past 7 games. Oddly, the first meeting was tight. The Rams won by a slim, 70-68, thriller. Chalk that up to one of WCU's odd nights. Vegas says this one won't be nearly as close. Mansfield is just one game behind Kutztown for the final conference tournament spot, but this is a tall task. WCU -12.5

Bloomsburg at Millersville - In case you missed it, the Marauders are red hot -- winners of 6 straight. They are one of (4) East teams with identical 10-5 conference records. The Huskies gave them a game last month, but Millersville has made some big strides since then. Vegas says Millersville wins comfortably at home. Marauders -12.5

Clarion at Pitt-Johnstown - On paper, this is a mismatch. But, Clarion is a scrappy bunch. The Golden Eagles gave UPJ a tussle in January and now are flying high after Wednesday's upset of California. That's, of course, the positive spin on this game. Round 1 was in Tippin. Playing UPJ in Johnstown is a whole different animal. Clarion put up 95 points on a very depleted, all-guard Vulcan lineup. John Paul Kromka presents quite a different challenge. Vegas says the Mountain Cats win this one -- but, perhaps not by as much as most may think. UPJ -12.5

Gannon at IUP - The No. 1 team in the country, 21-0 and at home, versus a 2-17 team most famous this year for a sideline incident ... easy bet, right? Not so fast. Gambling gets murky when you have to play the lineup guessing game. With Ethan Porterfield -- probably at best -- going to play 8-10 minutes tomorrow (if at all), paired with the return of Gannon sharpshooter Chris Clancy, well, this game gets a lot more interesting. Recall this same Golden Knights team (sans Clancy) gave IUP one of its toughest games this year. Gannon has lost a ton of close games this year and are by no means a pushover. With a trip to Mercyhurst looming Monday night, this has trap game written all over it (much like the first meeting did, too). Vegas says take the hosts, but expect another fairly close, ugly, chippy and physical game. IUP -9.5

California at Edinboro - This one is simple. If Jermaine Hall returns, the Vulcans win. If he's out, the Scots have a real good shot. With an already depleted roster, Hall's status hinges the whole betting line. Vegas says unless you have inside info, take a pass on this one. Official line: Pick 'Em

Shepherd at Lock Haven - The Bald Eagles won a thrilling, 77-74, OT battle in Shepherdstown. If Lock Haven can win down there, they can surely win in their own building. Unless, of course, the Rams have one of their magic days from Trey Land. Vegas says take the home team. Bald Eagles -5.5

Shippensburg at East Stroudsburg - The first meeting was a demolition job. The Warriors won by a whopping 30 points and hung 108 points on the Raiders in Shippensburg. A lot has changed since then. East Stroudsburg hit a funk, and has lost 4 of its past 6 games. The Raiders went the opposite direction -- winners of 7 of their past 8 games. Shippensburg also opened a two-game lead in the East. Tough game to pick. Will the Warriors explode back on to the scene? Will the Raiders get their revenge? Vegas says take the home team, despite their recent struggles. They just may be a bad match-up for Shippensburg with too much firepower. But, it should be entertaining -- and, much closer this time. ESU -7.5

                          • Two game parlay today:

                            Seton Hill (-5.5) at SRU
                            Shippensburg at East Stroudsburg (-7.5)

Gotta get them both (with the spreads) to win.
