What's the word on Alexander not playing?

Playing with six is going to win them about 6 games.

After winning vs D&E, I was sort of hoping for a better crossover week end but with such a limited team, now 8 players, it seems this will be more or less usual. Well on the recruiting trails the VULCANS got their first verbal commit in TIM SMITH JR a 6'7" PG from Lakewood Ohio. He has shot up about 8" since ninth grade and looking at his video his body seems like he could fill out to 6'8"-6'9" and switch to a shooting forward.

He's only been there 8 games. It will take 2-3 years and he'll be battling Joe for the West.

One positive for this year is, by and large, the West isn't any good.

IUP is out front by a wide gap. UPJ and Mercyhurst are good. The rest hasn't shown much yet.

Gannon always finds a way but they've looked bad thus far.

2nd win of the season, 90-84 over KSU at SALEM U JOE MANCHIN CLASSIC. With only 8 players to begin, things got a bit thin when 4 played a good deal of the 2nd half in foul trouble. COLLINS and MACADAMS did eventually foul out late but the team held on for the W. Listening to COACH SANCOMB on his weekly show he seemed to say that some more players may be available after having to sit out after transferring in. Sure hope that's the case.

Good tight game at the ANGELODOME with VULCANS leading ESU 49-47 at the half. Both team shooting over 50% with all other stats pretty close with the exception of bench scoring where the WARRIORS hold a 19-0 edge largely because ESU has played 11 to 7 for CALU. JOSH WILLIAMS is the only player in double figures for ESU while ZYAN COLLINS, BRENT PEGRAM and COLLIN MACADAMS are all there for the VULCANS.

A year ago going into April DANNY SANCOMB was busy recruiting off winning the MEC. Likely had no idea his professional world was about to come crashing down.In the year since he's stabilized a very down VULCANS MBB program which KENT MCBRIDE had started to revive before walking away. With some experienced core players and several interesting recruits, especially TIM SMITH JR and BABATUNDE AJIKE, I'd say his outlook is much more positive right now. Interested to see if he's finished adding to the mix.
