Horton will wear 0. He had 3 last season but of course could only practice with the team after his transfer from Delaware.

Odukale got 2 which of course is Trey McGowens old numero.

    Collier will wear 3.

Hugley will stay with his high school number of 23.

Jeffress, who also wore 23 in high school, will go with 24. As IUPalum mentioned about James Conner---Jeffress will now wear his old Pitt number (after his frosh season in 40).

Amadasun will keep his high school number of 35 as well.

Horton is apparently the real deal -- and rumored to be why that other kid is now in basketball Siberia (Nebraska).

Yeah, that is the word coming out of Oakland for some time now. I guess he was the team's best player in practice last season (for whatever that may be worth). I did see him play on some tape of recruits I was watching awhile back. He kind of jumped out at you. Looks like he played big-time high school ball and somehow got undersold on his initial choice of college (Delaware). I guess he shot like 40% from three for the Hens. But let's see how his talent translates to the ACC game.

Right now Trey McGowens is probably wandering through the corn and looking for Isaac and Malakai and he who walks behind the rows. LOL.

But the thing is IF you are a good little Panther fan you might just wake up Christmas morning and find a Jeffress 24 Pitt jersey under the tree.

          • A judge has ordered Zion Williamson to answer questions under oath regarding whether he was paid to attend Duke.

            This should be interesting.

What would anyone want that for?

Of course he was. The truly elite blue chippers are getting cash and a boatload of benefits to play at these schools. Always have and always will.

I like how Sean Miller of 'Zona paid the dude who was the #1 pick in the NBA Draft a few years back like a $100 Grand to play for his Wildcats. That is actually not a bad price for that kind of talent that stood 7-1. Miller is a darn good shopper.

I thought that you would be enticed by the Erie connection and a chance at having a jersey of one of the teams that is truly on the rise!

How about a Jeffers IUP jersey from some years back?

No doubt. But ... the others aren't DUKE.

Zion obviously has a fortune and has a top legal team. Duke will also do everything possible to keep him from testifying. Zion's team has already filed an appeal.

But, man, it would be incredible to see one of its biggest stars testify under oath about 'squeaky clean and holier-than-thou' Duke.

It would be crazy. No doubt about it. Some of these coaches and schools are long overdue to get what is due them. We've already had a few head coaches get their tail in the crap---Sean Miller, Will Wade for example--- but they usually seem to get out of it. Usually a "rogue" assistant "who acted recklessly on his own" takes the fall for everything. LOL.

                      • Robert Morris is joining the Horizon League. Football will play one more year in the NEC then find a new home along with lacrosse.

Wonder is that has anything to do with Wright State's future?

                          • I wouldn't be surprised if Wright State dropped down to D2. Right now only two Ohio state schools play below D1 (Central State and Shawnee State).

It looks like RMU football will follow former NEC member Monmouth into the Big South conference. That's good for them. Better competition and some opponents with name recognition to all the DMV kids they have. They also announced an agreement to play Miami U in 2022.

Wonder who the NEC will seek as a replacement.

Honestly that's a good question. Maybe New Haven? They don't really want to come east and they need a football member. But the NE-10 well is running dry.
