  • WEEK 1 WBB

Half time CAL U 47. CHAS 27. HARRISON 18 pts 4rbs, BURNS 11 pts 4rbs. 21 pts off TO typical STROM Defense. 8-19 3s very unusual STROM Offense.

    3rd Qtr CAL U 59. CHAS 47

Final CAL U 78. CHAS 73. Awful second half for VULCANS Why I hate relying on 3s......1-12..... second half. SHAUNA HARRISON 22 PTS 12 RB,. MONICA BURNS 19 PTS 7 ASST. BIANCA JASPER played limited minutes and her lack of leadership showed. Tomorrow 5:30 versus WLU.

It's kind of odd but JS seems to be able in most situations to will her players to win. She is not at all the screamer that DARCIE VINCENT was but the games usually end as she wants even if they're not pretty. Having said that this is not a team with definable stars. BIANCA JASPER was supposed to be a version of MIKI GLENN but has not developed to any thing close. DJ HAHN is a hard worker but with very limited offensive skills.I think SHAUNA HARRISON will be a very nice 2-3 option but again not a leader. MONICA BURNS is averaging 20 pts but didn't play in the 4th qtr today for whatever reason. They better get things together or Wednesday's game vs VUU will be very ugly. And next Saturday versus FSU and two of her students could be embarrassing. Time will tell

The GOLDEN BULLS also gored THE ROCK 76-52. So unless JCS changed a lot from last year's 16-13, GU and SRU WBB are pretty much the #6 and #7 teams they were listed as in preseason rankings.
