I'm as happy for Talley as anyone. He has really been lockdown this year, never more so than Wednesday night against the 'Ville.

Staunch gets all-PSAC in two sports in the same year. What's the last time that's happened?

Same year. I imagine there's been some football & track. Edinboro has had some football & wrestling.

I wonder if Monteroso did it during his one year of football here at WLU.

Wow, Staunch finished football in 2018. Long (and very productive) college career. Good to see he's working toward the master's.

He probably was the reason for the second win over Shepherd as well, holding Lang scoreless. We need our all-league guys to step it up Saturday if we're going to have a shot at knocking off Mercyhurst. The Raiders' offense has been flat since they clinched the division.

Jeff Wilson lost the PSAC East Freshman of the Year, and still got his team to the PSAC Final Four. #HighwayRobbery

Who determines the COY Award? Do the coaches vote?

No idea, but Chris Fite had the East Defensive Player of the Year, and the East Athlete of the Year, and another 1st Teamer (Castello) on his team. Jeff Wilson had 1 PSAC Second Teamer and plenty of newcomers to coach. You tell me how Wilson doesn't win it!

When coaches vote it's typically a popularity conference.

It all depends on where you're coming from. There are plenty of reasons to vote for Fite. I mean, they did put away the East with about three weeks to go.

It should be noted Ship had the men's coach (Fite), men's AOY (Biss), women's coach (Trn) and women's AOY (Jones). Quite a collection.
