Gannon shot over 50% from the field and 7/11 on threes. But GU had 15 turnovers and Hurst had just 4. That was the difference.

Gannon just got a commitment from Ike Herster...6'6 Shooting Guard from Kennedy Catholic. Technically only a junior, he declared himself for the 2020 Recruiting Class and will graduate next June. Apparently, Youngstown State and Robert Morris were making him "guaranteed starter" offers, but he chose Gannon because he bonded with Jefferson and said he felt "needed" by Jefferson, whereas the other coaches just "wanted" him. In one video the "reporter" asked a "oh crap, why did I ask that?" question when he inquired about how Ike would handle the winters in Erie, PA? Ike tried to not make his reaction too obvious, but responded with "We only like 100 miles from there".

Luckily for IUP yesterday, Ship was the easiest possible venue to get fans in the building as it's not too far from Indiana. Shippensburg announced 654 yesterday. Seems like a light count, but IUP had a very strong contingent in the building.
On another note, playing both the men's and women's Final at the same time ... is just a whole different level of stupidity. LOL. It's hard to even comprehend the logic. Obviously they assume nobody wants to actually see both games.
