Talk about two coaches that grinded it out on D, used the whole shot clock and neither had great shooters at the time either. Hurst has some guys that can shoot now. Gannon has 1 shooter in Clancy and Ike Herster could be a good shooter with development time.

Traditional Atlantic teams have at least seen Mercy's approach/defense (not that that makes it any less difficult to deal with). Those GMAC teams have no idea what's about to hit them!

I wonder how the NCAA will consider games vs teams that have long since canceled their season? For example, two of Hursts W were vs AIU and were the only games AIU played this year.

Concord won at WVSU last night by about 15. IMHO only hope for WVSU is to win the tourney.
Fairmont still has WLU and Glenville. If they lose both of those, they could be in the same situation.
WLU cannot afford to lose any more either.
Right now, seems like if Charleston can get by WVSU, they are safe.

I hadn't seen that result from last night yet. That really puts WVSU on life support.

I note that Glenville is on a COVID "hold." Dont know if there is enough time left in the season for them to make up all the postponed games. IF one of those games not made up is v Fairmont, that could actually play in the favor of both teams.

                  Concord is a sporadic bunch.

Yup. Big wins (Charleston, WLU) on the record as well as losses in winnable games (D&E, AB, NDC). Not sure what their deal is.

They get Charleston on their home floor this weekend with a chance to play spoiler again.

MEC has traditionally had 2 maybe 3 teams that were clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the conference with the rest being very balanced. As time has progressed, the "rest of the conference" has really upped their games to the point were they can quite often challenge and sometimes beat the top tier teams. Concord defeating WLU and UC is an example as is Sat's close contest vs NDC. Glenville is another example of a team that has stepped it's game up.

When you have a league that has as much parity as the MEC has now, you are going to have a lot of really good teams with more losses than they might have in other conferences.

KWC definitely has to win out in the regular season to still be considered at all.

Never a doubt in my mind after GU's 3rd game. With ROKU I can follow both teams well on the PSAC-TV channel.
It was apparent that GU wasn't and isn't going anyplace this yr.
Now the GU Women have a shot. I'm thinking a 2nd round bye-bye. Obinrader out this yr.... ouch.
                              Maybe next yr.

Fairmont just lost to Notre Dame College 96-85.
Makes Wed game at WLU even more important.
WLU is now in 1st place in North Division.
Neither team can really afford to lose another game before the tourney.
