    Re: John Reilly

Is Scoots being retained at Gannon or is he in line for jobs somewhere? IMO, Gannon needs a clean break from the former entrenched staff. Although, I see they retained one of the younger ACs.

Scoots was fired first and escorted out of the facility. No chance Scoots is around. The only coach still around is that blond squirelly kid that's girlfriend is the dance instructor. He's leaving too...

Is Scoots the big guy that looked like JR's body guard?

Could be the local paper in Memphis covers CBU as much as the Erie paper covers GU?

                  Re: John Reilly

No, JR is currently here in Erie tying up loose ends and going back this coming week to get to work. Expect the official announcement most likely Wednesday.

I would seriously doubt it, considering the Memphis area is maybe slightly smaller than the Pittsburgh area. And the PSAC/D3 schools are lucky to get a paragraph and the occasional story in the PG and Trib; CBU might not even be on the radar of the Commercial-Appeal.

That was a joke. The Erie paper is down to normally putting a game paragraph in the sports section.

                            Re: John Reilly

Congrats John Reilly. Great school and solid D2 program. Seems like a perfect fit.

Reading that press release issued by Christian Brothers, imagine how excited Gannon fans would be if Gannon had just hired someone not named John Reilly with the same bio based on working somewhere other than Gannon.

Should be interesting to watch the new Gannon staff this year. They will soon learn that while the winters in Erie are cold, it's actually mostly fair-weather at the Hammermill.

Lol ... that was pretty good.

                                BUT ...

IUPAlum broke the story. That's a fact.
