I actually got to meet Darcie and Heather at an IUP game. They were very nice and polite.

Just kind of sad that they have to have that kind of coaching demeanor or whatever it is.

VULCANS WBB put up with DV for 8 years, but HK was dumped after 1 year despite taking the team to the ELITE EIGHT. So sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Think of the Reynolds era at SRU. They all knew what was going on there. His recruiting and antics were well known for a decade. But, he won a lot with very little. He found a way to actually keep them in the race most years. So, everything else just got a pass.

SRU had that program basically set up to fail. They got very little money most years. But, for the most part, he did well there and never had any major off-the-court issues (amazingly). Football rules the roost at SRU. Doing well under KR was just a bonus.

But, then the whiny class of 2018-19 came along. And, well, it's pretty hard to survive a player walk-out in October camp.

My understanding of the Reynolds situation was that top leadership changed, wanted him to change, he didn't, then they conveniently found reasons to make him go away.

Truly weird turn of events. WCU board of trustees declined to OK a contract for HK. Both are on the outside looking in. Nationwide search underway. Anyone looking for an effective, if somewhat loud, WBB HC.

And if she wins, her style will be overlooked. But as winning seasons mount and the losing seasons fade into the past, there will come a point were a future administration will get tired of her antics and she will ne canned in favor of a coach that wins while being nicer.
