I can't recall a 5-loss team ever not getting invited prior to last year. I'm sure it's happened but that is very, very rare.

Might be mixing up your ESU posters there. Not sure, I filtered out Voice's posts a while ago.

The CIAA is a fine conference, but the CIAA championship is famously a crapshoot. Beating last year's champion means very little in the current year.

You are correct, I did mix you two up. It's usually him spouting out and trolling. Although, he did pitch a ***** about it back in March but I'm not taking the time to go sort through all that BS.

I like Hill a lot better around the basket than throwing up 3s. He's very agile, but I wish he had a little more bulk.

If he's shooting from 24 feet, it's not a good Ship possession. And frankly, if Frank is shooting from 24 feet, it's not a good Ship possession.

They are definitely more physical than last year; they can crash the boards. But they need to maximize their scoring opportunities by having the right guys taking the right shots. I'd sure rather see Conner, Martin, and Smith sniping from the perimeter, with Hill and Figueroa working around the paint, and Frank penetrating.

I'm in full agreement on that. Why, after grabbing 24 rebounds the game before, do you want to be out sniping from the perimeter.They have the potential to be an improved team this season but not if they don't play smart basketball.

Dominican wins in OT at Millersville, 79-76. Marauders were 5-1 going in.

ESU gets 2 big wins tonight. Tied in the second half at 71, the Men went on a 15-0 run with 6:35 left in the game. Goldey Beacom didn't score until there was 1:06 left to play. Lakeem McAlily led ESU with 31 points, and went 13-14 from the free throw line. Ethan Millirons had 13, including 2 3-pointers on 3 attempts. Nasir Griffin added 10 in the victory. Men win 90-76...

Meanwhile the Women trailed Lincoln by 8 at halftime after scoring 22 points in the first half. They stormed out of the locker room, outscoring Lincoln 28-17 in the 3rd quarter and 24-15 in the 4th. Emily Chmiel had her 4th double-double of the season with a career high 28 points and 10 rebounds. Lacie Kringe scored from outside and inside, hitting 3 3-pointers, and adding 25 points. Jess Polin had 3 3-pointers off the bench, including a buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of the 3rd quarter. That gave the Warriors a 3-point lead they would never give up. Freshmen Brie Droege and Madi Siggins each added 6 points in the 74-62 win.

BU ended the pre-Thanksgiving stretch of the season at 1-7 after getting blown out at home by Felician in front of a whopping 227 people. It’s probably going to be a long year at Nelson Field House.

I watched for a bit. I was shocked Louie Wild is still on the team. It feels like he's been there about 15 years.

I believe he was an either a COVID senior or RS senior last year and now he’s a grad student. The coaches might need to bench him for a game to rein him in some because his TOs are hurting the team. Having said that in a way I’m impressed by his perseverance: after his first year getting minutes I honestly thought he was going to have to drop down to D3 to keep playing because I didn’t think he had the athletic chops for PSAC ball. I wouldn’t call him an elite athlete but he seems to have taken S&C seriously during his time up on the hill, at least enough to not look outmatched.
