Tarojae Brake has transferred to St. Peter's.

Brake started all 27 games for KU last year and averaged 16 ppg.

This will be his third program (started at Lock Haven).
Good luck to him. Hope the jump from rural PA to Jersey City/NYC isn't too much of a distraction.

Maybe it's a good thing he left Kutztown. The Golden Bears aren't playing this year.

Shippensburg star guard Jake Biss said in an article yesterday that he's leaning on coming back next year. He said he's not 100% but leaning toward it.

An update on ESU's Ryan Smith. Keep him and his family in your prayers. Thanks.

From his Mom Kim, posted last night...

We need your help, prayer warriors. Ryan is still in the hospital at Penn. His two night stay has now been five nights. Not being able to be with him is killing Craig and me. We have been taking turns staying at the hotel just waiting for the phone to ring. He has had two fevers that have resolved themselves on their own, but this always leads to blood cultures and IV antibiotic. He had a CAT scan done today of his lungs which revealed something called ground glass opacity. From what we are told, it means he could have a virus, an infection, bleeding, or leukemia in his lungs. He had another COVID test done today, and those results will be in tomorrow. We don't know what to think of all of this. He is extremely angry as he never wanted to be admitted in the first place because every time he is in the hospital, something awful happens. Please help us to pray that whatever is in his lungs can resolve itself, pray that the doctors will find the best course of treatment for whatever they find, please pray for Ryan's spirit to continue this fight, please pray that he can be home for Christmas. Craig and I are begging for some mercy for this guy. I pray that our Heavenly Father hears our collective prayers. Thank-you for fighting along side of us.

Matt Cerruti is leaving Lock Haven. He'll have one year of eligibility. He's a pretty good player ... just been stuck in a pretty average program.

College of Southern Maryland (JUCO) PG Satchel Ball has committed to Shippensburg. It appears he was down to Ship and Gannon.

Fite isn't really known for going the JUCO route in recruiting.

Nice story (if you can read it) about an ESU assistant.

                    • It is confirmed Shippensburg star Jake Biss is staying for his graduate season. He's certainly one of the top players in the Atlantic. Big break for Ship.

Side note: Former West Chester forward Terrence Moore is now at Shippensburg. He was there last year, but obviously they didn't play.

They will again be pretty good this year.

Man, is that going to be a big game when they visit the KCAC in mid-December.

                      • Bowie State and Virginia Union are playing in Ship's tip-off.

                        • Bloom R-Sr Max Wagner would have been a 6th year senior after the Covid year, but signed a rookie contract overseas with Maccabi Rishon LeZion of the Israeli Winner League. Big loss for Bloom.

They aren't showing Moore on the 2021-22 roster. Familiar faces on the roster include Jake Biss, Carlos Carter, Kiyon Hardy, Dom Sleva, and Luke Nedrow. They have a couple of community college guys, Rashon Johnson and Mamadou Toure, coming in. Of course about half the roster are freshmen or redshirt freshmen. As coach pointed out, some of the redshirt guys will be entering their third year at Ship without seeing a minute of playing time so far. I'm sure this is the case at most of the PSAC schools.
