Two big games within the above Top 10 tonight and tomorrow.

West Liberty plays at UPJ tonight.

Fairmont State is at California tomorrow night.

The WL/UPJ match-up couldn't be a bigger contrast in style. Interested to see how is goes. WL is as up-tempo as it gets. UPJ loves the Norman Dale four passes before a shot, picket fences, pick-n-rolls, etc. UPJ's bigs will cause some problems but I don't think the Mountain Cats will be able to keep up. I'm predicting a close game for about 30 minutes. WL pulls away late and probably wins by 15+. Some strange things have happened in that gym, however. But, I don't see UPJ having the depth to go 40 minutes with the Hilltoppers.

The game in the Mon Valley tomorrow night may be 140 to 139. Whomever has the ball last will win.

Well, Shippensburg will find out something about itself over the next month as the Raiders will play four of the teams ranked above them. The absence of Biss makes the Cal game that much harder.

VSU rarely walks out of the Pickle Classic 2-0. Either one would be a bad lost. After watching Mount Olive play I'm a little nervous. They don't have any size but if they play their style and hit shots it will be a long night. They play aggressive defense and shoot threes from anywhere.

Aside from WL at UPJ, there is another big one tonight.

Daemen visits Mercyhurst. The Lakers lost this one two years ago in a thriller, 67-65. Mercyhurst had won the previous (5) in the series. Daemen, led by star forward Andrew Sischo, was picked second in the ECC (St. Thomas Aquinas got (6) first place votes to Daemen's (4) first place votes). Daemen heads to Erie with a 1-2 record, having lost to the No. 3 and No. 4 team in the country (at that time) in the national tip-off event. Both close losses. This should be a great game.

Also, Kutztown surprisingly started 0-2. The Bears will look to right the ship tonight against long-time non-conference foe Jefferson.

Millersville takes down Virginia Union in 2 OT.

VU may never come back to a PSAC gym after this one. Fouls must be at least 3.5 to 1 for the game.

Edit now that I saw the box:

Millersville took 45 FTs to VU's 12. That is an amazing stat.

Wish I would've turned that game on to give a take.

Seeing FSU up there is encouraging since the VULCANS pretty much played with them before dropping a 3pt game. After so much time and with the transitory nature of DS teams, I really had zero sense of what level team was coming out. If they can avoid bad loses to inferior teams, I'll be content with competitive in a really deep league.

Cal has a really good team this year. Shame losing one of their stars in Hall but they seem to be playing at a very high level even without him. Danny is going to win a lot of games this season. As long as BP is healthy they'll be in every game. Alston also has the look of a superstar.
