Ryenn Micaletti taking over as Slippery Rock women's head coach could change that. She's a Ne-Ca-Hi grad. As far as the men's side, 2023 grad Isaiah Boice is a 1,700-point scorer who at this moment I don't believe has any offers. New Castle always has a bunch of grinders who necessarily aren't who you might identify as a star. You could definitely do worse than taking a New Castle kid...smart and is going to work hard. Kind of like when NBA teams draft players from Villanova. I'd have to guess the average New Castle player is better than whoever Joe has as his 12th man every year from the Heritage Conference.

Gannon University’s Demetrius Mims Jr. will forgo his remaining NCAA eligibility (and the portal) to keep his name in the 2023 NBA Draft, he tells me. The Baltimore native averaged 16.7 PTS, 6.6 REB, 2.7 AST this season. Previously played at Long Beach State and Towson.
