Marshall University's women's basketball coach has resigned.

THIS would be the best opportunity for Kim Stephens to move up to D1. A mid-major that is in the Sun Belt Conference. She is a WV native that grew up an hour from Huntington. I really hope Marshall gives her a chance.

Charleston women upset Gannon in the 1st round 69-65. Not surprised by this as I think UC is pretty good.

      Glenville struggling early.

Have heard there is interest on both sides. Would be great for Kim - a terrific person as well as a terrific coach who has more than paid her dues.

Would still love her to pursue the much more attractive (ACC) Pitt job.

Although the Pitt brass would see a D2 hire as dumpster diving. That's just Pitt.

Glenville up 73-42 now. Stephens had this team ready tonight. They played with another gear this evening. They get stronger as they play more games in a short amount of days.

Glenville called off the dogs in the 4th quarter getting outscored 12-9. Doesn't matter.

Lady Pioneers advance to the Elite 8 with a 88-63 victory.

I believe this was Kim Stephens 200th victory at Glenville State as head coach........200-23 record.

                  89.7% winning percentage.....not too shabby.

#5 seed Glenville State advances to the Final Four with an impressive victory over #4 seed Tampa by a score of 78-68. Glenville snapped Tampa's 22-game winning streak. Tampa was coached by veteran Tom Jessee who was once WVIAC Women's Coach of the Year. Glenville moves on to take on Ashland.

BTW, Marshall Board of Governors is having an emergency meeting today concerning "athletic personnel matters". May not mean any thing.
