Gannon had a talented men's roster last year -- talented individuals, that is. However, a combination of very poor coaching, leadership and, well, too many knuckleheads led to that horrendous 3-23 season. That EASILY should have been a .500 team.

Fee kept the most important pieces. There's also a rumor that Demetrius Mims pulled out of the transfer portal. Thomas Whitley stayed, which was probably the most important piece.

There were some bad apples ... team cancers within that program. It needed gutted. Herster and Mims were never going to co-exist.

I'm surprised Clancy hasn't found a home yet. He's a bit tricky because he's not very fast and his defense is pretty average (at best), but he can really light it up from NBA range. I really thought one of the big PSAC teams would sign him and use him the same way Manchel used Trystan Pratapas (limited minutes as a sharp shooter off the bench). Jonaitis is another player who was just in the wrong system. He would be much better suited in a more free-flowing offense -- not the street ball system Jefferson ran.

Rip the band-aid off rebuild was necessary. Most (all) the "established" Gannon players were a bad fit for what Fee wants to do. The WLU Style can produce rapid results but not if you try to slow roll the transition to it or keep players who don't fit what you are trying to do.

Exactly After last season's diarrhea, most jumped ship. There were only 4 left when they fired Jefferson.
Coach Fee said "C-YA" and brought in his coaches and has 7 new ballers coming in.
