Apparently Dickson is returning for his senior year with Ship. Good news for the Raiders.

I don't know what his particular situation was ... but a whole hell of a lot of players from last season are still homeless.

Far too many get horrible advice. They aren't anywhere close to D1 players -- too small, too slow, etc. They enter the Portal, get no bites, and all the sudden they are unemployed.

It seems simple that if you are just an average D2 player, chances are good D1 teams aren't going to be interested. Granted, some of these kids just want to land at a better D2 program. Some of these coaches are real a-holes and not good human beings.

I suspect as we see more rosters post we will see several Portal entrants return.

Some coaches at least pretend that once they leave, the door is locked. It sounds good and all. But, a lot of coaches unlock the door and let them back in.

Chris Fite has a pretty good record of retaining his better players over the years. I don't think any departures have surprised him much the last few years other than Kyle Whippen, and Whippen didn't stay anywhere for very long.
