I think you pretty much summed it up right there.

Will be a tough matchup. Not sure who the secondary ball handler will be and metro likes to press nearly all game, if not all game.

NW D shows up the second half and they beat Metro State 69-58. Justin Pitts goes over 2000 points in his career at NW.

NW beat a salty MSU-Denver team tonight. NW was down 8 @ 1/2 but held the Roadrunners to 19 pts in the 2nd half. NW only beat the Roadrunners by 1 pt in Denver last year. Upper Iowa beat Truman St in a high scoring game
NW plays TSU 3:00 pm Sat.

Hard to believe Metro St. is 0-3 to start season. Good guard play and post-player who can protect the rim. A little undisciplined at times. Their press got us out of sync 1st half.

Big win for Emporia State today 69-62 over Drury. Hornets led by 16 in the first half, Panthers went on a 16-0 run early in the second half to tie it up. ESU was able to regroup and come away with a seven point win.
Get to go play Mizzou on Monday.

NW beat Truman St 90-70. TSU has some good shooters and were ahead by 8 or 9 early but NW wore them down. NW now 4-0 TSU 3-2.

NW clearly not as good defensively this year. Offensively, could be lights out.

Truman definitely looked like a team that had played 5 games in 10 days to start the season, down two players who will be regulars the rest of the season.

That said, it had very little bearing on the final result: NW is a heckuva ball club that's well-deserving of the #1 rating. Good luck the rest of the way!
