Upon further review, you lost by two to Winona and Minot, you have losses to UIU and Pitt State, and dont make me bring up that Mustard Mustang game. No sir, you have not earned our help by way of a loss.

...You could however get it anyways though so I'll just let you wait like kid waiting to see if any girl will ask him to the Sadie Hawkins dance.

I'm right there with you,-especially being a Viking fan. It just jumped out at me how quickly WSU seemed to rise up the list as they posted more wins. With games against Northern and Mankato left, it was more curiosity than any real thought they'd make it this year. Can't say it wouldn't make me really happy if they some how did.

I would love to see them win against the Wolves this weekend, even if that means helping SCSU! :)

It is interesting that they have climbed to 11 in this measure, one slot behind Minot who they have recently beaten. Of more note is that they are #6 in the conference. Assuming things go as normal, with the NSIC getting three for sure bids, and maybe four, Winona has to climb two or three slots. Getting over Minot is obviously not a stretch to hope for, being they beat them on the road in their only meeting just last weekend. In that Northern and Mankato are locks, that means the Warriors would have to climb over Southwest, St. Cloud, or both. That could be tough. In their favor, they have beaten St. Cloud and split with Southwest, with the most recent meeting yielding a win on the road. They certainly have opportunities to shine yet with Northern at home and Mankato on the road. They can't afford to stub their toe against anyone else, which is tough enough in its own right. It's a long shot but never say never I suppose.

I have not invested the mental energy to determine how this all works but seems irrational that Winona would be sitting behind Minot at this point.

And that Missouri Southern is behind Central Oklahoma by so much. And how is there not a bigger gap between 8 and 9 in the region. IMO, there is a clear top 8 in the region right now, then a large gap.

I'm just as surprised that there isn't a bigger gap between SCSU and Mankato seeing as how SCSU has 2 victories over Mankato this season.

Everyone needs to remember that the name of the opponent is not factored into the performance indicators. Only the record of the opponent is factored in. The committee will factor in head-to-head when the regional rankings are released.

The measure likely doesn't take head-to-head into account. Minot has a better in-region win percentage and fewer losses (only by 1). If I had to guess, that's why.
