Re: MWSU
Been away for a couple of days. Griffon men beat Missouri S&T Saturday 89-79 to move to 4-1, the first time they've beaten four straight Division II opponents since 2010.
The women lost their home opener to Regis, 55-51 to fall to 2-2.
Both are at Quincy tonight for a non-con doubleheader.

Re: MWSU
Swept on the road.
Women dig a deep hole in the first half and fall to previously winless Quincy 59-45.
Men lead by 7 at half, but give up 51 in the second half to fall 76-63.
Thanksgiving tournaments at home for the women (vs. St Mary Friday and William Jewell Saturday) and at UMSL for the men (vs UMSL Friday and Maryville Saturday).

Griffon men grind out an ugly road win at William Jewell last night to break a three-game losing streak and get back above .500. Hightower limited to just 15 minutes by foul trouble, but scores 17 points. Some young players contributed:

Women's game against Adams State tonight postponed because of travel conditions, rescheduled for Dec. 30.
Both teams are off until the conference season opens at home against Lindenwood Dec. 6.

Re: MWSU
Griffon men get an 89-81 win over Rockhurst to head into break with a .500 record and match last year's win total at 6-6. First win in Looney all year. Hit free throws down the stretch, which has not necessarily been a strength this season. Freshman Tyrell Carroll leads the way with a career-high 23 points. They play 7-3 Illinois-Springfield on Dec. 30.
Griffon women beat Newman 68-58 to also head to Christmas at .500, 5-5. Like the men, they needed free throws down the stretch to seal the deal. Got one of their injured players back - guard Brittany Atkins gets 7 points in 22 minutes in her first game action since January. They also play Dec. 30, against 1-7 Adams State.
