Player transfers

UCM bringing in a 6ft 10 player from D1 Marshall at the semester. How does this work. Did the player have to be enrolled the first semester to play. Apparently he only has one semester left. Just noticed this yesterday. Lets hope he helps.
Anyway what are the rules on mid season additions, or can a player move from D1 to D2 and be immediately eligible.

Ante Sustic, verbal commits states he is a grad transfer with one year left to play his twitter says he left Marshall at the semester when he graduated. Dont know why he would be added at the semester instead of waiting until next year and play one full year.
