Ft. Hays is the highest ranking team in the region in the WBCA poll and not even in the rankings in the D2SIDA poll. That's a bit odd.

Hays lost a starter to a knee injury, 6'3" player, can't recall her name. Watched them vs. Pitt State. Still pretty good, take care of the ball and you have a good chance to steal one from them in Hays.

Yep. With Jessica Wayne being day to day according to Coach Wynn that's two of the top returning players in the MIAA heading into the season now sidelined with knee injuries. According to coach Wynn Jessica is going to try and go at some point this season - since she is a senior, has already played to many games to get a redshirt, and if properly braced has a low probability of hurting the knee anymore than it already is.

They're very much improved this year. I think Austin will do a nice job there. I'm not watching them very closely, my Women's Hoops allegiance has changed, thus I'm much more focused on Pitt State's WBB team now! :) Yes, it is still an adjustment for me! :D

Watched Hays' first 2 games of the year in St. Joe. While still really good, thought they were more susceptible to losing some conference games. The injuries certainly aren't helping. If Pitt St had just taken care of the ball a little better I think they'd have beaten them in Hays. Haven't seen your Hornets yet, but will at some point...probably early February...maybe the 5th! :D
