        I thought Thompson was a sophomore. Blair can be Newcomer of the Year and Thompson FOY

          Final predictions as the awards should be announced soon.

          Player of the Year - Brandon Myer
          Defensive Player of the Year - Parker Fox (Kelby Kramer, Fox, and Myer are turned loose similarly by their coaches to try and block almost any shot they can. Personally I would take Kramer (impacted dramatically by how easy it was for Riemersma to score on Fox and how difficult it was for him to score on Kramer) but I think the coaches will give it to Fox.)
          Coach of the Year - Chris Johnson - USF
          Newcomer of the Year - Drew Blair - UMD
          Freshmen of the Year - Jack Thompson - USF (yes Anthony Roberts from SCSU has much better stats but I think USF's team success tips the scales towards Thompson)

          1st Team All NSIC
          Brandon Myer
          Parker Fox
          Harrison Cleary
          Kevion Taylor
          Tyler Riemersma
          Trevon Marshall
          Caleb Wagner
          Mason Stark
          Chase Grinde (could be Jack Thompson as the USF rep)
          Jareese Williams (could be Hilmer or Smoldt as the UIU rep)

          2nd Team All NSIC
          Kenny Byers
          Gavin Baumgartner
          Drew Blair
          Jack Thompson
          Jake Hilmer (could be Joe Smoldt)
          Cameron Kirksey (could be Kelby Kramer but his offensive struggles tilted me to Kirksey)
          Derek Thompson
          Dylan LeBrun
          Jordan Janssen
          Kyle Beisch

            Just saw this article about Cleary on Twitter. Worth the read. Like him or not- he is the best player in UMC history. And he could have left them, but he was loyal because they gave him a chance.

              Interesting article on Cleary. Shows what a work ethic and determination can do.

                Cleary has my consideration for POY #1. scoring. #6 assists. #1 minutes played.

                Myer does it all and is POY IMO. #2 scoring. #3 rebounds. #9 blocked shots. #3 steals.

                  Myer should be POY. Cleary scores a lot of points but is not the best player in the conference.

                    My final predictions:

                    Player of the Year
                    - Brandon Myer
                    Defensive Player of the Year - Parker Fox (close second to Houghton, Pal, Kramer and Myer whom are probably better all-around defenders)
                    Coach of the Year - Chris Johnson - USF (close second to UIU coach)
                    Newcomer of the Year - Illikanan - UMD
                    Freshmen of the Year - Hilmer - UIU (close second to Roberts, Holt, and Thompson)

                    1st Team All NSIC
                    Brandon Myer
                    Parker Fox

                      Winners announced

                      POY = Myer
                      DPOY = Fox (I figured you had to actually play D to get that award)
                      FOY = Holt
                      NOY = Kramer
                      COY = Johnson

                        Thought Hilmer might get freshman of the year - you look at impact to a team, not only scoring in double digits and towards the top of assists and assist/to ratio in the league, but how he elevated the team from where they were last year was amazing to watch. Holt is deserving as well - he was in top 25 in scoring, had a great freshman season as well.

                          Agree with you. Hilmer is best player on UIU team...in my opinion. Huge impact all over the court. Baumgartner got snubbed last year and came back with big sophomore season. Hilmer can use it as motivation in the offseason.

                            There's a difference between "didn't win it" and "got snubbed." Despite Plitzuweit's betrayal of the Vikings, I'm more than willing to defend his winning of FoY last season. I don't imagine I will change your mind, but just throwing it out there.
