NCAA cancels March Madness

Updated statement from the Minnesota State High School League: Amid growing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, the remainder of the girls state basketball tournament and boys section/state basketball tournaments have been canceled. The safety of all concerned is paramount.

I'm curious to see if punishments that were being handed out this season will be considered complete or pushed back until next year. I can't off of the top of my head think of who might not have been allowed to play in the NCAA basketball tournament, but Mizzou as an example was had a one year ban from the postseason in baseball and softball that was to be served this year. That would be another thing that would suck for kids if they don't grant more eligibility... kind of serving an extended sentence for crimes committed by others.
