So far 50 players have signed Men's Basketball LOI's. The breakdown is interesting. 33 athletes are incoming Freshmen and 17 are transfers. Rogers St., Newman and Central Oklahoma have signed the most with 6 a piece. Washburn is next with 5 total and leads the conference with 5 incoming freshman. Northwest Missouri State, Newman and Central Oklahoma are next with 4 Freshmen a piece. Rogers St. and Emporia State lead in the transfers category with 3 a piece. I was surprised and figured that there might be more transfers than incoming Freshmen. Obviously the right combination between the two is key but I think it bodes well in the long-term for the conference to have a class that is 66% Freshmen. There is still a lot of recruiting left to do and all schools are maybe not reporting all of their signees yet but that is all I could find. I just hope we have a season.
