  • MIAA--Week 5

Huge week starting on 12-30-20 with UCO at Emporia State with most of the conference playing 3 games on Jan. 2, Jan. 7 and Jan. 9. The 3 teams at the top all play each other so it should be interesting. The toughest task is Washburn having 3 road games starting with Northeastern St on 1/2 followed by a huge game at NWMS on the 7th and ending with a 3rd road game at MO West on 1/9. NW has both Emporia and Wash at home after playing a tough Pitt State game in Pittsburg on the 2nd. MO West has the easiest start to the new year with just two games at home against Emporia State and Washburn. Looking forward to watching to see how it plays out.

Northwest plays Northeastern State on Dec. 31 to start the next sequence of games after the break.

Missed that one. The MIAA does not have that on the composite schedule. NWMS has 4 games in 10 games. I hope we can get all of these games in.

Week 5 is in the books. NWMS had two impressive victories on the road and Washburn rallied to win in OT at NSU after trailing by 12 with 10 min to go. This sets up a top 5 match-up between the last two undefeated teams in the conference on Thurs night in Maryville.
