    An ejection for a UMD player (Shields) after an elbow on a FT boxout. Weird game so far. UIU up 25-14 with 10:00 left.

      Only watched 90 seconds of this UIU/Duluth game and I've noticed that 1) Duluth looks very talented. 2) Upper Iowa is somehow winning in spite of Duluth looking so good.

      Also, these refs are trigger happy with the technicals today. I guess he'll have to be JusTTin Wieck if he picks up a second T?

        At half in Fayette(ville):

        UIU-47
        UMD-39

        Wild game going on so far.

          It seems Fink (and the rest of the Vikings besides Dykman) have cooled off just a little too much during halftime. The UIU athletic admins must've cranked up the AC in the visitor locker room or something.

            Fink goes down hard on a failed block attempt. Trainer has to come out and attend to him. Hoping everything is fine and he's just shaken up a little. Last thing we need is some shoulder injury or something for Fink that keeps him out. Augie's bench isn't deep enough this year to lose starters.

              It appears Fink is back in the game, which is encouraging.

                Man, Joe Smoldt is so fun to watch. Back to back 3s give the Peacocks an 11 point lead with 8 minutes to go.

                            That UMD vs UIU box score is bonkers. Five technicals including one ejection for the Bulldogs and zero points off the bench. UIU getting 94 points and this win without Jareese is incredible. Even though Jareese has always owned Augie it is horribly unfair to see him miss significant time with an injury during his, mercifully, final and most successful season.

                              Was a pretty physical game. The ejection was for an elbow to head on a FT attempt, refs did go to video. 2 were on flops....as a UIU fan I will say the first one was very suspect. One was for pulling up on the rim after a dunk, and their coach got one shortly after that as he was pretty fired up on the call. UIU has won 4 in row now without Jareese. He is such a huge part of UIU and just a tremendous career. I hope he can make it back!!

                                It was a crazy box score because the word is out with the refs that UMD are a bunch of floppers. They need to make UMD stay on their feet. The flop/charge call was huge turning point in first half of game with Msum. Love to see the refs are seeing UMD flop tricks. UMD floppers might even make former Augie Michael Schaefer blush.
