I wondered that while watching too. He looked fine and was engaged while on the bench, so it would all be speculation on my part. He’ll be needed tonight to help deal with that BIG hoss Rogers has. Rogers is a curious team… 8-4, beat Emporia, lost to Northeastern.

It wasn’t because of his charges as he’s cut down on his charging fouls so far this season

Does anyone know why Luke only played the first 5 min. or so of the game with NSU?

It's a little known fact NW Alumni who live out of town, even in Iowa, are not only welcome to come back for games it is actually encouraged! ;-)

Yeah, okay ... NW gets in a "knock-the-rust-off-game" against Clarke today after a 12-day layoff due to the break. HC McCollum mentioned during the post-game that the Bearcats only had one practice day before the game with Clarke today. Concerned again with this Bearcat team's "energy and intensity". I think that's the fifth game in a row he has mentioned that same concern since the game vs MOSO.

Crazy thing about the NW schedule this season. The Bearcats are 11-1 now. Season started November 5 when they faced three consecutive ranked teams ... all on the road. The game this afternoon at Lamkin Bearcat Arena was the fifth home game for NW. Funny thing, this Bearcat team has never had a home game yet with students in session due to all the breaks ... Thanksgving, Finals/Commencement, and Christmas breaks ... and those NW students will continue to be on Christmas break when they face Northeastern Oklahoma this weekend on Saturday. And, that little "no-NW students-in-session" streak will continue with Bearcat home games vs Rogers State on January 2 and then Missouri Western on January 7. NW students will finally be in session with classes on the NW campus for their very first home game scheduled at Lamkin-Bearcat Arena on January 19 vs UCM. NW basketball season kicked off Nov 5. It will be January 19 when NW students will finally be on campus in session to see their first home game. Welcome to Bearcat Basketball!

Yeah, that’s pretty standard coach speak. No loss is a good loss, but I’ve heard Ben (and other coaches) say on a few occasions how it’s easier to coach after a loss. Players are a little more open to suggestion (or demands) when everything isn’t perfect.

    Everyone loses when Doty wins.

Hopefully HC BM can turn this one into a good old-fashioned character builder.

DB got hurt in NW’s last game. Hope he’s able to go in the next MIAA game
