I have no idea if this NSU team is any good and I still think they will still struggle to win 10 games, but they are undoubtedly more fun to watch than the past 2 seasons. It’s out of necessity because of injuries, but I’m intrigued by the 5 guard lineup Wilber is playing now. Mary is not good so it is hard to tell how good that lineup is, but 15 3PTs is always good. Bowen and Akena will have to be the de facto “big men”. I have no idea how long Rogers and Obiora will be out, but NSU will need more size against the better teams in the league. Glenn was great on the offensive side and if he can continue to shoot like this, the Wolves will be in games. Smith is a ridiculous athlete and will make some highlights this year.

You are right to say Mary isnt very good, and as I keep saying, idk what our ceiling is, but it is fun to watch. The more time they get together, the better they look passing to open spots and the ball rotation is improving. Still not great on defense and with no one in the post, I feel we will definitely get eaten alive a few times this year.

Smith is so athletic, if he can be a bit more selective on the shots and work on that body control, he's really got a great end of the career ahead.

Glenn is crucial for any success we see this season.

Regardless of the "who" we are 2-0 in conference play...nothing to be mad about.

Obiora has hamstring injury. He wanted to go tonight but trainers kept him out. Rogers has a boot on. Not sure how much longer he will be out.

Unfortunately, even my modest expectations may be been too lofty for this season. I don't think there are very many wins left on the schedule so hopefully Wilber and crew can rack up some moral victories before the end of February.

24 point win over the Dragons with losing Glenn and Rogers early 2nd half...that was incredible.

Of course, I hate watching games on mute but there is really no other choice when we have to play up there.

Wolves defense was really, really good and fortunately for us, Moorhead just couldn't really get anything to fall.

Well, I didn’t see that coming. The goal for the season was improvement, and I think we are seeing that. The defense is absolutely improved from the opening weekend. Moorhead was pretty bad offensively, but the Wolves deserve some credit for that. Book was really good and has seemingly become the leader of this team. Akena was also good and made some really strong plays. Hopefully Glenn is not seriously hurt as it looked like he dislocated his shoulder. We can’t afford many more injuries and hopefully Mercadel is not out long term. Smith is a great athlete, but he needs to figure out how to play under control. Reynolds is going to force Wilber to give him more minutes if he keeps shooting like this. Obiora is going to force Wilber to give him fewer minutes if he keeps playing like this. Tonight was a good game and its always good to beat Moorhead.

Kuhl had been gone for a couple weeks, I wonder if that will have any impact on his younger brother was is or at least was committed to NSU. Mercadel had been on the bench the last several games in street clothes.

His posts of being 110% committed is still pinned on X, so I pray we will still have both next year but be curious to find out.

Josh Book has been really good so far this year. He hit some huge shots today to keep the Jimmies from getting any closer. He has done a good job making plays when NSU needs them most.

The book on Obiora when he arrived was that he was very raw and would need time to develop. Unfortunately, there was no player development the last couple years in Aberdeen. He still does frustrating things at times, but he has improved significantly already this season.

Rooting for Marshawn Smith is an absolute roller coaster. He can make some of the most amazing athletic plays and some of the toughest shots you will see at this level. And then he can make some plays that make you slap your forehead in frustration.

The goal for the season was always going to be improvement. It’s a bit of a bumpy ride, but I think we are seeing that so far. At the very least, this team is more enjoyable to watch than the previous couple of seasons.

This Wolves team is proving to be more competitive that I expected, but they need to figure out how to close games. Last night was the 3rd game this year that NSU had a chance to win and did not. NSU was up 9 with 5 minutes left and lost by 7. Bad turnovers, dumb fouls, and poor shots all led to the defeat. Wayne did what they needed to do to win, but NSU surely helped them. While I do appreciate Wilber's fire compared to what Saul showed the last couple of years, he probably needs to reel it in a little. He's probably lucky he didn't get another T last night when he called the timeout from midcourt after the questionable call to give Wayne a 4 point play late in the game. Overall, the team has looked better than I anticipated so it is a good sign that I'm frustrated when NSU loses games like this. I just wish they weren't losing by doing things that should be controllable.

Good first half for the Wolves, but they again struggle to finish a half and let Augie back to within 12 at the half. NSU is going to have to continue to shoot the lights out if they are going to hold on and win this one.
