Men seem to have a roster full of Robins and need to find a hero to emerge.

Women have an experienced roster ready to make another serious run.

Not sure what to make of the opening weekend.. Clubbed the NWMSU team to death, but then turn around and lay an egg on Sunday.

      Hopefully they gain some consistency.

The shooting was atrocious in game 2, the first half specifically. They need to find a leader, find an identity, then also find some consistency once roles are established.

Jones looks good in a bigger role this year. Let’s hope he continues like that.

2-1 on the year now. And 2-1 vs the MIAA

                Mavs beat Henderson State 93-84
3-1 now. Big game for Benson, he finally found his shot. Lewis was solid and getting Traijin Sain healthy is a big boost

Yes. I think she could have fit in well at a place like SDSU. Plays hard all the time.

Concur. She wasn’t going to a P4 school, but I tell everyone that I introduce to Mavs women’s basketball that she is playing at the wrong level and is a fun watch.

I thought she was special as a freshman when she made all conference at some level despite not starting. To come off the bench and average double figures on these teams at that age made me glad that she came here before NIL. If you watch her game after game you realize what a hard worker she is. Mentally tough too- she played through a painful injury late last year.

I am convinced she is the best all around player to wear an MSU uniform on the women’s side. And I honestly don’t think it’s close. She’ll almost certainly close her career #1 in points as well as top 3-5 in many other categories. As well as a title and MOP of said title run, and I don’t want to get ahead of myself but she is in a great spot for another very deep run. She makes the team go and you can see that they feed off her energy and leadership.

Women are appointment viewing. Very fun to watch and have the best player in the league by a huge margin. Just gotta stay healthy!

Men are really struggling and I’m not sure their problems are fixable unfortunately. Hopefully I’m wrong and they can find something.

Anyone else think this is the worst the league has been on the men’s side in quite some time?
