Look out...Margs Mavs are on a 7 game winning streak and could make life miserable for some teams down the stretch and tourney time.

At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter…but dang is there a difference between north and south in the NSIC this year. And in a down year even. SW was the only south team to not win last night.
Marg’s Mavs are in 2nd to last in the south at 8-7. That’s first place in the god-awful north.

Can't fault the fighting Jimmies, in their first year in D2 they're doing well with some victories against conference leaders.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View PostAt the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter…but dang is there a difference between north and south in the NSIC this year. I know you all are probably tired of this "North/South" stuff. But who would have guessed that only the newcomer Jamestown would have a winning record in the North, while seven of the eight South teams have winning NSIC records? On a side note, congrats, Augie, on your win Saturday night.Originally posted by vikingfaithful View Post

Man... although very competitive, another tough loss for my Beavers tonight. : - (

and we were terrible shooting 3s.
also, with Braaten sick as a dog needed someone to want to win it at the end and we didn't get that . although I do think Shaw has the moxie to be that guy too
too many guys gave us nothing this weekend

(An NSIC-adjacent post that I promise not to turn into a "Denver Dragons" thread, but rather a single post.)
Went to see Tim Bergstraser and some former Dragons play @ NDSU last night! If you haven't been following, Denver's had about a tish better of what you'd expect of a reset year, going 10-14 (3-6) into last night's game against Summit-leading NDSU, who was undefeated in conference play.
But last night Denver came out with a lot of focused energy defensively and timely mid-range shots. They forced a ton of tough shots and kept NDSU cold. With 54 seconds left Carson Johnson drove to find Logan Kinsey in the corner, who pumped-and-drive to the rim on a ridiculous slam to seal the game. Definitely Denver's biggest win of their season, and I'm sure it felt good to do it in front of a generous MSUM contingent at the SHAC.
Carson Johnson had 20 points last night (including three momentum-killing 3s when NDSU mounted various comebacks), and has averaged 19.4 PTS/G on 45/41/87 splits. Logan Kinsey fills all the gaps you would want in a senior, and averages 11.2 PTS/G on 55% shooting. Shaun Wysocki is their 7th man and averages 7.2 PTS/G in 19.0 MIN/G, and did his patented move of swatting a 3-pointer as the final nail last night.
I'm happy for Tim and the guys, and can't help but think about what could have been had the butterfly effect of Jacob Beeninga's injury just before Christmas last year had not happened to spark everything.

Kind of bored tonight with no NSIC games. Watching UConn and St John's battle it out in Madison Square Garden, which is neither located on Madison Square or a Garden. Not a Big East fan but I'm not a Dan Hurley fan or a Rick Pitino fan so this is kind of like deciding between body odor or bad breath but I'll go with the underdog.
