By my count, I think Washburn, UCM and Hays are all losing multiple all-MIAA players. Rough for Washburn to lose Claussen but everyone figured that was coming. Probably the same for UCM with Houston and Tilley and Hill.

UNK is only losing one (Swift) as the other two are seniors, out of D2 years and hoping to go D1 and take advantage of that JUCO rule. I'm sure a few others in the league are trying the same thing

Unfortunately, Swift would have been the team's top returner.

Unfortunately fans are no longer going to see a team grow and get better. From now on the coaching staff that can get an under recruited player who needs to show his skills in order to move up and the coaches that can get players from the portal to play together and adapt are going to be the most successful. We will probably not see the repeat winners every year and the bottom feeders can always start over. Just out of curiosity no names needed what would be to floor and the ceiling on NIL in this conference?

Great, thanks for the heads up! I put asterisks by their names in the original post. Swift is a tough loss but that's pretty good retention overall for UNK.

Saw Grill from FHSU is headed to D1 Bradley. Would likely guess some NIL associated with that move and obviously D1 jump that comes with D1 over D2.

Adding that to the main post now. I was a little surprised by that one, honestly, but good for him to get the chance to make the jump.

I think the league is up to double digits in guys moving up. Doesn't matter if its Longwood, NJIT, Bradley or Utah Tech ... always going to bounce to D1 unless there's a special circumstance. And, of course, money is always involved.

Added a few more recent announcements/commitments. From what I can tell, 10 of the first 11 departing players who have found new homes have committed to D1 schools.

UNK signed Jamaria Clark from UMKC yesterday. In January, they brought in Vincent Garrett Jr. from Northeast CC (Neb.).

Getting caught up on some incoming players to the MIAA through the portal. Cool story with Tyrique Brooks coming back to Southern.
