Wow--Nova and Bentley have to be wondering who they pissed off to see NW sitting on that #5 line. That's an awfully dangerous #5 seed!

Imho, iup could not ask for a better path to finals.
- hillsdale is very well coached, but soft.
- now augusta is a different story. Very strong, athletic team with a strong athletic 7 footer. Tough game.
- nova will overwhelm bhsu.
- nmsu wins comfortably.

Nova versus nwmsu is can't miss high level ball. Nwmsu just does not make mistakes. Every shot is a good shot.This year they won't have a week to prepare for the press like last year. I like nova se in a nail biter. This is the game for national title.

finals iup versus nova. Press and depth is difference. Inside sunahara and sylla will cause problems. If nwmsu should make it , they will win.

#1 Nova Southeastern over #8 Black Hills State
#2 IUP over #7 Hillsdale
#3 Augusta over #6 Chico State
#5 NW Missouri State over #4 Bentley

So far, I am 32-16 in picking games.

I am confident in Nova Southeastern and NWMSU.
IUP is so good defensively, I think they outlast Hillsdale.
Augusta-Chico State is a toss up for me. Augusta’s 7-footer and shooters give them the edge. Chico is no slouch though.

Never envisioned such a sub par performance in so many areas by Nova SE.

• They missed uncontested shots.
• They forced 20 turnovers, but could not convert into points.
• only 9 assists was telling when they average over 20
• Little offensive movement
• Deep threes result in long rebounds and few offensive rebounds.
• Terrible ft shooting, 3 pt shooting and fg shooting, missed inside shots and many open looks

imho on a poor shooting night one has to go inside and draw fouls and get offensive rebounds. Did not happen.

Recipe for a quick exit.

In the end, the 2 best teams played for the NC. NW was clearly the cream from their side of the bracket. IUP and Augusta were clearly the top 2 from their side. Hudgins was just phenomenal, especially the first half but I'm not convinced the best team won as much as I love the Bearcats. I think Augusta let this one slip through their fingers. Crawford should've gotten a touch every trip down the floor. NW had nobody to counter him. Spread the floor and let him go to work on the blocks. If NW doubles down, kick it out for spot up jumper or hit guy cutting to basket.
