Re: GLVC Predictions 2017-18
Unlikely. I'm betting that Benedictine (Chicago) and Southwest Baptist will be joining. My understanding is that both have been offered. It's no secret SBU wants out of the MIAA.Originally posted by TSU_Mike59 View Post
Next year it will likely go back to a 14-team, 2-division set up with Parkside packing their bags.

Re: GLVC Predictions 2017-18
New players to watch in GLVC:
Eric Dust, UMSL: 6'8" 220 lbs, led NAIA St. Ambrose in scoring and rebounding (18/9). Inside and out, can shoot the 3
Tyler Clanton, Drury: 6'4", led juco team in scoring and rebounding (17/7.5). Physics major. Good players who are smart guys are always a plus.
CJ Hardaway, Indy,: Not new to GLVC, transferred from St. Joe. Big scorer. I would hope he shoots less for Indy than for St. Joe. Sharing the rock may be an issue.
Kendale McCollum, Lewis: Not new to GLVC, transferred from UW-P. Big scorer. I would hope he shoots less for Lewis than for UW-P. Sharing the rock may be an issue.
Malcolm Mabry, McKendree: 10/9 in JUCO

Re: GLVC Predictions 2017-18
I had forgotten about Hardaway. Might have to rethink my pick of Lewis over Indy. He is a good player and should fit in well with Indy. He was on a St. Joe's team that needed him to shoot a lot. I think he is more likely to share the ball with a good Indy team around him. Now I can't say that about McCullum so much since he came from a very good team. I don't think he shot as much as Hardaway, but he did have instances where he would try to do too much on his own.Originally posted by Knightmoves View PostNew players to watch in GLVC:

Re: GLVC Predictions 2017-18
I do think that McCollum is a better all around player than Miles Simelton was for Lewis and probably better shot selection, so I expect Lewis to be better than last season. The thing about both Lewis and Indy is that shot selection is probably their biggest problem and adding guys who are shoot first ask questions later kind of players may not pay dividends. I honestly think that Lewis and Indy have equivalent talent to Bellarmine, but I would be shocked if either team plays effective team ball anywhere near Bellarmine's level.Originally posted by KnightStalker View PostI had forgotten about Hardaway. Re: GLVC Predictions 2017-18
He's having to sit this year. Not eligible with the transfer.Originally posted by Knightmoves View PostSurprised to see Lewis lose 2 games in Michigan. McCollum has yet to play for them, either in their exhibitions or regular season games. He is still listed on their roster, don't know if he is hurt or no longer on the team.

Heck, maybe it's not the transfer, maybe it's for something else. Someone told me he wasn't eligible, though.Originally posted by Knightmoves View PostI did not think he had to sit out a year because of Parkside being sanctioned. Why would they list him on their roster if he is not eligible?
