16 from the GLVC already - and that'll grow quickly.
The poaching has begun. Heard from a reliable source that Cedarville's best player (already in the portal) was being contacted by D1 schools. Even though there is suppose to be no tampering, there is tampering as D1 schools are looking to replace talent that they lose to other D1 schools.

D2 is basically a farm system now for D1.
Hard to win when the big schools have all the money. Screw what is right and true. Money and bribes rule! Until, a Judge who cant be bought appears and turns what has been turned upside down, rightside up.
UMSL's 1st teamer Mara Rieder had a great season, but Sara Mendel is a better player. Drury's Rhi Gibbons is underrated and should have made 2nd team. Her numbers may not match the players who made all region, but this kid brought so much that didn't show up in the box score. Pound for pound, there wasn't a tougher player in the GLVC.
Reese Schaaf named 1st Team Central Region, likely on her way to being named an All American.
Wyketha Harrell showing her disagreement about being shown the door at SBU by her reposts on X.................
Zach Howell has entered the transfer portal. Colin Hardrick is the first comment on his tweet announcing it. Hate to be a pessimist, but I have a feeling Chris Foster will probably keep most of his freshmen and have to start from scratch after that.

That might be true or it might not. In today’s landscape entering the portal doesn’t necessarily mean a player is leaving, it just means they’re accepting offers.
The Arizona State Women's Basketball team has made the big dance for the first time in 7 years. Molly Miller's team started the season 15-0, are currently 24-10, beat rival Arizona 3 times and won two games in their conference tournament that included the convincing upset against Iowa State. Its been an amazing first season for Drury's former 2 time National Coach of The Year.
Edit: Colin Hardrick has officially entered the portal

Suppose it's possible, but I'd put the odds either Howell or Hardrick return at about 1%.
1 week after the season is over, only 4 members of the GLVC 1st and 2nd Team with eligibility remaining that aren't in the portal. Out of those 4, Hrncir at UIU probably isn't a good candidate to move up (6-5 inside player, not a shot blocker, average at best shooting percentages) and Justice Sutton will almost certainly be in the portal soon.
A number D2 teams will get decimated with the transfer portal. Just the sad reality of college sports today.
Right now the leader in the clubhouse appears to be a school called Leas-McRae (never heard of them). They got 12 players in the portal. Frostburg State looks to want to get in on the action with 10 players in the portal.
Sports Illustrated article headline about Molly Miller's team: "Season Ending Loss Shouldn't Dim Incredibly Successful Arizona State Season"
That says it all.
Reese Schaaf had another huge season for Central Missouri. Her MIAA numbers were outstanding: 21.4 points per game, 11.4 rebounds in 19 league games. .554% from the field , .426% from 3, .865% from the free throw line. Her numbers were the best in the MIAA both seasons she played for CMSU.
