        Re: Findlay Basketball

Nice to see Bowling Green on the schedule. Interesting that it's an exhibition game for UF but a regular season game for BGSU. Surprised BGSU would actually make that a regular game with the history of UF beating DI opponents. Just in the last ten years they've taken down Ohio St, Wright State, Toledo and taken Dayton and Xavier to the wire plus a few others.

I'm fairly confident the November 20th Findlay-Ferris game will be another classic battle.

Should be a good game. Always look forward to playing Ferris.

Entertaining game. Both teams are talented. Overhiser-White-Smith is a pretty good threesome for Findlay. I was not real impressed with the defensive effort for either team. Thrower was red hot, but Findlay did not do a good job of defending his three point shooting. He was 7 for 8 on 3's and many of them were not the product of ball movement or screening, they were just open spot up shots.

Don't disagree with you on the defensive side, but not to make excuses, this is a very young team and I think the defense will improve. Thought the Oilers would be good this year, but they are better than I expected and I only expect them to improve. Like most of Coach Ernst's teams they are 10 deep and seem to always find a way to use that depth.
Ferris's man-man defense was not very impressive, but the zone really gave Findlay problems. Thrower's performance, whether the defense was any good or not, was really incredible considering his limited practice time due to also playing football.

Oilers trailed 38-18 in the first half. I really prefer that they show up for the start of the game, but it's a win.
