Re: GLVC Season Chat
The two most interesting storylines I think for the season left are:
1. The fact that Bellarmine/Southern Indiana still have home-and-homes with Indianapolis/Lewis. That's four of the top five in the Point Rating System, where there's a huge gap right now between 5 and 6. Meanwhile, UMSL gets S&T twice, Drury twice and Maryville to go with a trip to Indianapolis/Lewis.
2. The race for the final three seeds for the conference tourney. I think Drury is trending up enough at this point to feel good about being in (and their schedule is pretty easy the rest of the way other than the aforementioned UMSL games). UIS probably has the hardest schedule left of those middle of the road teams (BU/USI both twice, at RU/WJC).
For the women, I was surprised to see Truman keep it so close against Drury on Saturday. Only TSU and Lewis have kept it within 10 against DU this year, and both were in Springfield. USI starting to show a little wear and tear, but those four and Maryville are pretty much locked into Edwardsville barring complete, unforeseen collapse. Five teams with 6 or 7 losses playing for 6-8 seeds.
