Look out everyone here comes the thread police

The real question is if we really need 37 more negative comments about Watson every week, all of which say the same thing the 53,592 previous negative comments about Watson said.

I like the new thread every week. It's probable that Watson might get 37 consecutive wins over kwc but the negative comments are valid. 1 NCAA postseason win...clap, clap, clap, your hands!!!

Thanks Tyler, I appreciate the threads. This one is helpful so I don't have to go check three different sites for results.

Tonight starts the GLIAC tournament, with quarterfinal games at the four high-seed campus sites.

            Massey's projections for tonight's games:
            @ #1 Ferris State 83, #8 Hillsdale 72
            @ #2 Findlay 76, #7 Grand Valley 70
            @ #3 Lake Superior State 82, #6 Ashland 77
            @ #4 Michigan Tech 66, #5 Wayne State 64

Obviously, the biggest games tonight are the 4/5 and 3/6 match-ups, as #5 seed Wayne State and #3 seed Lake Superior State were 9 & 10 in last week's regional poll (and I'd guess they'd be there again this week, too). Losses by either all but likely ends their postseason hopes. GLVC bubble teams need to be big Ferris State and Findlay fans this week, as a single loss isn't - in all likelihood - knocking either one out as an at-large bid barring mass chaos from all three conference tourneys.

I wouldn't expect Ferris to have much problem tonight, although Hillsdale has won 8 of their last 9. Ferris beat them by 14 at Hillsdale earlier in the year.

The LSSU and Wayne St. games are toss ups. Wayne and Mich Tech split in the regular season, each one winning on the other's floor. Ashland beat LSSU way back on Dec 1 at Ashland. These four team exemplify the GLIAC this season, it was a meat grinder. That's why I have a lot of respect for Ferris, who was the best in a tough league.

Six of the eight are playing for their lives here, as UF and Ferris are the only guaranteed teams into the regional. I think Wayne and LSSU are not that much better off than Ashland, Michigan Tech, GVSU and MT. Pretty much have to win the GLIAC to get in.

Re: Midwest Region Conference Tournaments Thread

With Lake Superior beating Wayne last week, would a win over Ashland tonight be enough move them ahead of Parkside if Parkside gets beat by Indy on Thursday (which could happen)?

                    My GLVC prediction:

                    BU over Drury
                    UIndy over UWP
                    USI over TSU
                    QU over Lewis

                    BU over UWP
                    USI over Quincy

USI over BU (I'm hopeful that we can beat them ONCE this season, given how close we played them for most of our last game at Knights Hall)

As the two time regular season GLVC prognosticator, I will enlighten all of you with my prediction:
                      BU (no letdown I hope)
UIndy ( think they get back at UWP for that late home loss)
USI (TSU does not have the kind of game to beat USI)
QU (could be a tough one for the Q, they tend to play at the level of their opponent)

BU(scary game, UIndy probably gave BU most trouble all season, besides TSU game of course.)
Quincy(my big upset, just think McGaughey and Tag will be too much)

BU (I'm hopeful that we don't need to win this one for the #1 seed because it will be a battle

Being a good conservative lad I always had a soft spot for Hillsdale. If it was in California or Florida, it would be my choice for going back to school after I win the lottery.
