It was a 2-point game with a minute left. Coach Campe does a good job at Oakland. He has been there forever. They gave Maryland a rough time a few years back when UMD made it to the Sweet 16.

34 years, 3rd longest in D1, behind Boeheim and Coach K. Saw Greg play in high school, our local high school had a pretty good team, Defiance had Greg Kampe...we lost. He's a great coach and good man.

Hillsdale trailed the entire game between 5 and 9 points and then made a charge late but came up just short. Looks like a typical John Tharp Hillsdale team. Physical and well-coached and really rebound the ball well. Nick Czarnowski looks like he is going to have a big season. Anyone know why Austin Yarian didn't play? He really came on late last year for Hillsdale. Anybody heard anything about the injury to Oakland's Jaeven Cumberland? Looked like a pretty serious knee injury. Hate to see that in an exhibition game.

I was in Virginia last week and saw a billboard that had Liberty University's upcoming basketball schedule on it. They didn't use names - just logos. It included a purple Trojan head that looked familiar.

I remember them coming into the SportsCenter in 1997 and getting rolled by 30.......different times.

University of Michigan women "squeak" by Findlay women 84-38. Outscored in the paint 50-10.

Trevecca women did beat Middle Tennessee State the other night 88-71. Trevecca women were selected 8th in pre-season G-MAC poll. MTSU had beaten Lindsey Wilson 90-45 in a previous scrimmage.

There have been a LOT of D2 over D1 exhibition upsets so far this year on the women's side. Not quite sure what to make of it.

U of Toledo women beat Findlay women, 77-70, in OT.

I believe Findlay men and Hillsdale men go 2-0 in their crossover events. I also saw Cedarville beat Truman State in their crossover event.
