    Bunch more listed ...

Mick Durham is re-making the roster in Billings with 6 new signings. WOU adds 3, 2 JC's and a prep (one JC and one prep were listed here as verbals before); some other guys added at CWU, NNU, WWU. Good off-season stuff.

MSUB has had the best offseason in the league in my opinion. MSUB had some nice players last year who would benefit from Durham's system. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them head elsewhere. The sheer number of players signed seems to point to a wide open roster.

CWU just added a wing from Los Angeles. He was named All-CIF L.A. City Section Team and led powerhouse Westchecter to a city championship. The Wildcats appear to have replaced all their lost talent, except for a center. They still are missing one more piece.

Rumor is that SPU has signed Jake Medjo after his decommitment from UC Riverside. Also heard they have signed JC transfer Sam Boone. 2 new bigs for the Falcons.

Thanks, I've been waiting for SPU news. Where did Miller end up?

As of 5/24, still looking for a D1 opportunity and unsigned.

Interesting, most coaches in all divisions have their rosters set or close to set. Sadly, I think Mr. Miller just sabotaged his collegiate basketball career. Not sure what was wrong with returning to SPU and making a great career for yourself there. He'll be another guy lost in the never-ending transfer circus going across America. I enjoyed watching him, perhaps he can find another D2 program to latch on to, as if SPU -- a really great traditional D2 program -- is chopped liver. :at-wits-end:

Miller has visited San Francisco and will visit Montana and Pacific. So maybe we will be seeing him playing against Gonzaga!

I like Miller's game a lot, but like the WWU D-1 transfer, foot speed/quickness will be an issue at D-1. Fine D2 player, probably 7th/8th man in D-1, maybe deeper than that. For playing time, Montana would be his best option. The Big Sky hovers around 27-30 RPI as a conference; the WCC has been around 10 RPI.

WCC is pretty weak aside from GU, SMC, and BYU. I think Miller will be a good player at a small D1 WCC school or in Big Sky. I was actually surprised when he went to SPU in the first place. I always thought he was D1 caliber.

                      Didn't have the grades.

The WCC's top end is good enough to have the conference at a No. 9 RPI this year. USF has been solid. I still don't see Miller playing much in the WCC. The Big Sky isn't very good and frankly, I'd rather play in the GNAC. Outside of Weber State and Montana, the crowds are small, it's a small airport/bus conference, the talent is middling, etc. Believe me, I grew up in a Big Sky town and covered it as a reporter, when Boise State and Nevada bolted, it really watered down the league.

If Miller gets that sophomore year back and has 3 years to play, that will help him and perhaps he can eventually move into a starting lineup at a low mid-major level. Starting in the Big Sky -- RPI around 30 -- is nothing to be celebrating about, IMO. Can't wait for that blockbuster Southern Utah-Northern Colorado matchup.

Another "signing" as WOU loses it's associate head coach, well Zach Payne was just named Associate head coach, and he just took a job at Portland State. Hey, that's the business ... I can put up with this more than all the player transfers.

Yakima Valley CC guard Gamaun Boykin is committed to CWU. Last season he averaged 21.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game while shooting nearly 54% from the field and over 45% from 3-point range. Boykin hails from Georgia. He is one of 3 college transfer guards coming to Central and the 7th addition to the 2018 recruiting class. Central is certainly reloading after losing Shabazz, Stepney, and Woodruff. But they still need some more post size!

Great pickup for the Wildcats. Demetrius Trammel of WOU was a Yakima CC/Georgia guy and I loved his game. Boykin sounds like the real deal, great scoring and percentage numbers.
