WOU picks up 6'7" freshman forward Nate Johnson out of Elite Sports Academy in Seattle. Not really sure how those academies work and who they play against. I cannot find anything about him from the past year.

Yeah, those academies are very strange. I know Nate Pryor (West Seattle HS/North Idaho/UW) went to I think this one. He had grade issues, I heard, so it did nothing to solve that issue, and he enrolled at NIC, which he could've done a year earlier. I looked at this kid, couldn't find much, played at Roosevelt High in Seattle. Could be solid, I don't know. Based on film and roster depth, I'd say redshirt candidate.

Hasn't that dude been to like 4 schools? I'm sure this school is the one that will put him over the top ... sarcasm alert.

Part I of II WOU basketball recruiting stories (it's a large class). Here's 3 JC guys, watched some video on each one, the 6-7 Umpqua CC guy stood out to me. I know UAA wanted him.

I welcome other GNAC, CCAA, and PacWest schools posting here. I don't want to flood this place with all WOU because I'm a frequent poster and that's my school. But I'd like to read up on some of the other schools, too. Thanks, happy hooping!

WOU recruiting story, part 2 on the remaining four players. Really like the JC, Cobb, who should provide inside presence. I thought the San Diego guard, Moore, had an impressive highlight tape. Also noted in the article, last year's redshirt, Etan Collins (a starter in 2018-19) is back, good to hear, he brings a lot to the game.

I think it's more likely CWU basketball will have Noah Pepper and Brock Ravet on the roster for the 2021-22 season than CWU having a football team.

I've heard nothing about Central Washington University cutting football. I know they built a new stadium. I'm just not seeing them cutting football. I guess they would eliminate their marching band and cut their music department in half, and reduce the enrollment by 2,000. Have fun.
