  • GNAC rosters this year and next ...

Always fun to look at who is returning and who is leaving (graduating) rosters. This doesn't count for transfers coming in or going out that I don't know about. Looking at the GNAC regional playoff teams first.

Seattle Pacific -- A nice 5 players in double figure averages this year, two depart in Wooten (excellent player) and Lizotte. Three very good returnees in Long (candidate for GNAC player of the year next season), Cavel, and Colosimo.

WOU -- Four players averaged in double figures this year, one big loss in one-year player Warner. Hawken is back next year for his senior season (GNAC POY candidate, IMO); and two good point guards in Lubom and Brushier.

St. Martin's -- Graduation will hit them the hardest with their three leading scorers Boice, Chavez, and Redix, graduating. Fine point guard Standley returns next year, will be up for conference player of the year (IMO).

NNU: Nighthawks should be pretty good next year with returning player of the year and GNAC's leading scorer Adonis Arms, one of the more physically gifted D2 players I've seen in awhile. Big loss at point in Megwa (18 ppg), tremendous talent. I really liked Bezzant, who came off the bench to the tune of 13 ppg last year. Freshman Nelson was pretty good. Makings of another conference title contender.

      * Favorite name in the GNAC, Olamilekan "Spider" Adetunji returns at post. Great nickname.

Great stuff, thanks. Brimhall is another GNAC player of the year candidate, IMO.

CWU should have a much better year with 4 of their top 6 scorers returning including Gamaun Boykin and Jeryn Lucas. Two freshmen who had a ton of playing time and starts this year were Matt Poquette and Zellie Hudson. These are the two guys Rinta will surely be building the program around and they should both have great years next year. Only 1 player returns over 6'6" and that is 6'9" reserve Hayden Nelson. So CWU's priority will be recruiting some more size. I really hope Green River CC star Kevin Baker picks CWU. If Central can get bigger, they have a solid group of returning guards and wings.

Great report, thanks. Concordia, SFU, MSU-B, UAF, WWU reports?
