Sounds like a nice cat for you UAA. Good size and sounds like a decent background.

Pepper sounds like an excellent player. A scoring machine, who also has great size for a guard. What a get for the Wildcats, he should be an excellent player for CWU.

Brock? As in Ravet? Yeah I wish. I wonder what happened to him?

Win some, lose some. WOU just got a verbal from a 6-5 point guard from Fresno, California, prep guy. They lost two incoming preps from last year's good recruiting class. I imagine this isn't unusual with Covid wiping out an entire season and the guys they lost were from SoCal and Seattle. College sports is hard enough without the pandemic.

MSU-Billings added some players, Thacker from the University of Idaho is a good shooter, had a couple big years at Walla Walla CC. Howard transferred out to D1 North Dakota, which I think is on another thread.

CWU adds 6'9 Mitch Brizee from Weber State. He played 6 minutes between two games last season after redshirting as a freshman. At Twin Falls HS he was conference MVP, Times-News Player of the Year, and All-State 1st Team. Gives CWU much-needed size. https://wildcatsports.com/news/2021/...ss-brizee.aspx

UAA adds PG David Rowlands, grad transfer from Hawaii Pacific with 1 season of eligibility. An experienced PG was required as it was announced junior guard Tyson Gilbert suffered an Achilles injury and would be out for the 21-22 season. Rowlands averaged 15 ppg and shot 39.7% from 3 last season at HPU.

Western Oregon picked up a 6-8 prep from Sacramento. Looks good on film, but everybody looks good on film.

Good pick up by Alaska Anchorage. I'm kind of envious of that player, he gets to play in Hawaii and Alaska two of the nation's best states.

SMU just picked up a good transfer PG from Portland State. Last season as a freshman he played in 16 games, with season high of 7 points/11 assists. Big time player at South Salem HS before that.

I find it interesting how these Salem prep guys often go to PSU and bomb out, and never even look WOU's way 15 miles from where they live ... I also understand wanting to get away from home, but so far I haven't been impressed with Salem prep basketball. One of the best, Roth from West Salem High, went to OSU then WOU, had a great year, primed for a great senior year and disappeared, never knew why. Maybe this guy will prove me wrong, but so far Salem prep hoopsters have been soft as jello.
