  • CWU sweeps WWU, Fight for Playoff Spots

CWU held off a WWU comeback to win an overtime thriller 86-81! Wildcats sweep the Vikings on the regular season for the first time in 15 years since 07-08 season!

The fight for the last playoff spots will be interesting. CWU MUST win at least one of their last 2 games, since WWU is 1/2 a game behind them with last place SFU remaining on their schedule which we know they will win. And hopefully UAA loses one of their last games, as well since they swept us in the season. But Central will have to find that win on the road vs WOU or 1st place SMU, so that will be a tall task.

Hopefully UAA loses one of their last games... Ummm, the Alaska schools are playing MSUB and SPU next week, so both teams will be doing really good if they get any wins this week. UAA lost to both at home to start the season so will hope for some sort of revenge on the road, while UAF played MSUB very close, but lost ,and caught SPU flat to open the season and won, so SPU will want revenge on that. I suspect both MSUB and SPU will be prepared as they probably really want to try to secure a bye for the first round of the GNAC tourney, and Mick will likely love getting a sweep of Rusty's UAA after such a rough go against UAA when he was UAF's coach. At least that's my hope / predictions.

Things may not be going well but Rusty still gets over on Mick.
