  • CWU Schedule Released

Tough non-conference schedule is nice to see, San Bernardino, Monterey Bey, Dixie State, and highlighted by WSU. But 5 games in 9 days? That will be rough. But it is good to not have any of those weak NAIA, D3, or Canadian teams. They need to challenge themselves and finally they are doing that. Then they will play UAA, UAF, WOU in the first 3 GNAC games, with WOU being the dreaded first game back from Christmas break. Maybe they will schedule a game or two in mid-December vs. a local small college. But I like the schedule this season. We will see how the rebuilding Wildcats can handle it after losing their top 4 players.

If they can get those two wins on Nov. 11-12 at San Bernardino and CSU-MB that will be a great start to the season. That's a big weekend for the GNAC, as UAA and UAF will be in Hawaii playing in the GNAC-PAC West crossover vs. HPU & Chaminade.

The CWU roster is also out: http://www.wildcatsports.com/roster.aspx?path=mbball

7 players at least 6'6" including new big man 6'11" Fuquan Niles. A couple of SFs from Cali. We will have to see how well they have replaced the big 4 seniors they lost to graduation
