Don't get it, why not just stay at Central? Is she suddenly a WNBA player by going to Bellingham? People out-think things. I get it if you're sitting on the bench.

Meanwhile, WOU women list 2 players on their roster, and their best player -- who had a year left -- is not listed. It's hard to get behind the new normal. I actually follow players and how they're doing. Even in today's portal world, you need a foundation of returning players. WOU men's and women's programs don't have this and the results are telling.

Western Oregon men's basketball team put together a large and what looks like good recruiting class for next year. I was tipped off on some of the names and I'll release it when it's an appropriate time.

A nice collection of D1 and JC transfers and some preps. Eleven new guys coming in, not too many returnees from last year but I'm glad that the ones they kept, including two quality redshirts. They also added some desperately needed size.

Also, it appears they graduated six guys, that would be seniors getting their diplomas, which is very encouraging. I think that still counts even in today's world.

I'm excited about the possibilities, but like I've said in the past, when coach Orton took over the program it was 10-50 the previous 2 years. It's a hard climb back to respectability. I'm hoping this class does that.
